Kyla is passionate about women’s health, having been a practicing midwife for over ten years. “I feel very privileged to have worked with mothers and babies for all that time. Over the years, I have seen pregnant women suffering from various physical aliments induced by pregnancy such as back pain, pubic symphysis pain, morning sickness, heart burn and constipation and always thought there had to be an alternative to what conventional medicine offers these women.”

Kyla ventured into Chinese Medicine with these convictions in mind. She has been practising TCM for several years and has witnessed how beneficial this practice can be, not only in assisting pregnant women but also in treating widespread problems such as musculoskeletal and neurological pain, migraines and fatigue.

Kyla says: “Through the holistic practices associated with TCM, my knowledge and experience has gone beyond my initial intention of treating pregnant women, to working within the broader community. This is where the Acupuncture Collective fits in, making this beautiful, ancient medicine accessible to the whole community and able to benefit everyone.”
